March 24, 2009 | Middle East's first gigapixel print in Dubai

Middle East's first gigapixel print took place in Dubai at Epson's booth of this year's Sign and Graphics, which was held from 15th to 17th September.

Printing such a high resolution photo results in more details than your eyes can discover. You can easily read the street signs and number plates on the opposite of the creek, but you might want to take a magnifier to check finer details like the facial expression of pedestrians.

September 29, 2008 | Trip to Bahrain and the universe keeps track

I'm sitting in the plane to Bahrain right now. I was there in April and will now visit for a special person and some great shots for Middle East photo agencies.

While sitting in the Taxi to the Airport, I sent a message to a friend I met in Hamburg, she's the lead photo editor of a renowned publisher for tourist speciality publications. I wrote her, that I'm on the way to Bahrain, for shots for photo agencies.

She wrote back, that this is strange. She just thought of me, becuause she's doing a special about Dubai and Bahrain at this very moment. And provided me a list of locations and POIs (Points of interests) that would be nice if I could make some great shots of.

That's what I call "the universe keeps track". Well, what else could you say to explain such happenings?
